Hunting Companion Group Classes

This is a five-week class for companion gundogs where we will introduce your dog to the obedience, he or she will need to be a competent hunting companion. We will focus on teaching your dog to come with you, go away from you, and stop on command (sit or whoa). We will also introduce your dog to birds and gunfire in a safe productive manner. This class is not meant to produce a finished bird dog. The goal is to build a strong foundation for both handler and dog and to teach the principles of dog training.

Day Training

Day training is where you drop your dog off with us for the day. We work on training a predetermined behavior all day, then at the end of the day we come to your house to do a lesson to show you the owner how to continue training for the week. Day training is a great option for folks who might not want to part with their dog for a traditional boarding the majority of training. It's important to note that there is homework that owners will be expected to keep up with in order for their dog to get the most out of the day training program. Companion Gundog Training

If you would like to get your dog prepped for the hunting season or a hunt test we can help with:

intro to water, birds, and gun fire
getting into and out of a boat
steadiness training for upland pointers
Upland flushing and retrieving

Puppy Exposure Outings

The most important thing you can do with your pup is get them exposed to as many different environments and stimuli as possible. This means taking time out of your schedule to slowly introduce your young dog to new people, places, and things. Take the guess work out raising your next puppy. Let us help you set a foundation of confidence your puppy can build on for the rest of her life.

Guided Upland Bird Hunts

Hunt upland birds over some of the finest pointing and flushing dogs around on some of south central Pennsylvania's most pristine private hunting grounds. Hunts run October - February weekends book out far in advance schedule your outing now.
